This post is a copout, so I won’t even pretend to title it like a normal person

We are better! Better!

I mean, clearly:

New Anywhere Chair
My parents got her an Anywhere Chair for Christmas and she grins like a total fool every time I put her in it.

That was ROUGH, yo. No one slept! Well, she did, but I did not, because the only way SHE could sleep was attached to my boob. Yes, really, and of course I let her, because come on, it was FLUBABY, and she was so very sick, the poor little punkin pie. And I am BEHIND on … everything. Everything under the sun. Adam and I were consumed with sick baby, he was consumed with helping me out with all the other stuff, and it’s insane how a tiny person can take up so! much! time! while doing nothing but sitting in your arms and moaning piteously.

But! We’re better. I’m just catching up on everything and it ain’t pretty. Our house looks like someone broke in, threw everything around and left. There are bills that want to be like, PAID or something, and God, seriously, our universe is a fucking train wreck, from ONE FRACKING FLU. And holy shit, there is sleeping that needs to be done, because we are all SO TIRED from the all-night Flubaby fests, and oh my God, you do not care about this one whit, so HERE, here’s another picture of my happy, healthy bunny in her new chair.

Feeling better, obvs

Happy Thursday!

    So glad she’s better!

The kids I baby-sit for each have one of those small chairs with the Disney characters on them (like what you have going for ya there, but the cheap-o kind?)… I sit the 13 month old in one of them, and he LAUGHS like a maniac and grins and gets super excited! It’s hilarious, so I do it often.

Oh, I’m so glad the worst is over! She looks happy and healthy and I hope the same applies to you and Adam. Good luck with The Recovery.

  • 3. Blythe  |  December 2nd, 2009 at 11:31 pm

Wait…did the flu go away and take the baby with it? Because she’s looking practically like a toddler in that chair. An adorable, happy toddler. Hooray!

  • 4. -R-  |  December 2nd, 2009 at 11:34 pm

Wow, she looks so much better and happier!

MY HEART! IT CANNOT TAKE THOSE PICTURES! (Your baby should come with a warning: might make you want to get knocked up again, right away, like in five seconds, even though you had no plans at all to do such a thing. BEWARE OF THE CUTENESS.)

    SHE’S SO CUTE.

I will stop all-capping at you now.

Oh dear me, the cuteness. And the Anywhere Chair! I got one of those for my first and she looooooved it for about two years. Would sit nowhere else.

She is just so delightful and so … big? I mean, like Blythe said, where did your tiny baby go??

  • 7. Reagan  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 12:06 am

Yay! Hope it comes up roses and rainbows at your house for a while!

  • 8. Kate  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 1:12 am

So glad to hear Flubaby has left the building, although she *was* awfully sweet with her pouty sad face. But Happy FluFREE Baby is downright edible, she is. I agree with Jennie – that girl needs a warning label!

Hope your household gets caught up and back to normal soon.

She is ADORABLE. Glad she’s better and you guys are heading for restful times.

  • 10. Aunt Becky  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 8:33 am

I want a chair like that. I would smile like that if I had that chair.

  • 11. Annabelle  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 8:39 am

I’m so happy to hear she is done being Flubaby! Poor pie. At least she has an awesome chair to lounge in now. Think they make those in adult size?

  • 12. Shelly  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 9:23 am

She is so so cute! And that chair is awesome!

  • 13. Marie Green  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 10:10 am

Aw, I’m so glad she’s better. She certainly doesn’t look like she’s recently been sick!

Also, does she have really tiny feet? In that first picture, it appears that she as this beautifully chubby baby-body and teeeny-tiny wittle feet. I’m not gonna lie, that combination made me swoon a little bit.

  • 14. Jen  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 10:49 am

Cute baby! In a cardigan! TOO. FREAKING. CUTE.
So glad she’s doing so much better!

Also, I think Avery is a little jealous of Sam’s gorgeous head of hair. We can still see scalp here is all I’m sayin’.

  • 15. jonniker  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 11:04 am

HA! Marie, she does have tiny feet. She always has, and she got that feature directly from her mama. I have always had feet that are too small for my body, and hers are the exact shape, proportional size and super-weird toe pattern as mine.

    Delicious. Glad she’s feeling better.

  • 17. Christine  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 12:22 pm

Oh my goodness she is absolutely adorable. Is her hair turning out wavy? She’s just edible and so clearly feeling much, much better.

  • 18. sadie  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 12:22 pm

Wait. Didn’t you just have that baby? And now she is like, what, 6? She is absolutely scrumptious but also, not a little baby already?? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!

  • 19. Erin  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 12:52 pm

What great pictures and I’m really glad she’s feeling better. The flubaby photo even made my husband cringe and he’s one of those “I don’t get gushy over baby photos” kind of guys.

    Good luck getting re-caught up!

  • 20. parkingathome  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 6:29 pm

Oh she looks so much better from that pathetic little face on the older post. I just wanna pinch those little cheeks

  • 21. chirky  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 6:57 pm

Oh, the cuteness! I just want to scoop her up in my arms! So glad she’s feeling better. :)

  • 22. Andria  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 7:14 pm

    She’s adorable. :)

  • 23. Dr. Maureen  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 8:39 pm

Oh, I’m so glad she’s better. I was thinking of you with my two days stuck at home with a slightly-under-the-weather preschooler and wondering how you could possibly survive. But you did! And she did! And Adam did! And now Flubaby is no more, which is good, because that picture BROKE MY HEART. She looks so much happier now!

  • 24. The New Girl  |  December 3rd, 2009 at 8:42 pm

    I’m with Blythe.

She looks like such a big girl in that first picture. The smile, it should be said, is the cutest in all the land.

So glad you’re on the mend over there.

    xo

Must. Munch. On. Gorgeous. Baby. Now! SOOOO CUTE! and so happy now…. hope you get the sleep you so richly deserve. In related news, fever has arrived at our house today and I can’t bear to let the little munchkin sleep alone when she is so miserable. Am praying to anit-flu gods that it isn’t, well, flu…

  • 26. velocibadgergirl  |  December 4th, 2009 at 8:13 am

Hooray! I’m so glad she has recovered <3

  • 27. Julianna  |  December 5th, 2009 at 6:28 pm

She’s really starting to look like you, Jonna! Through the eyes and nose–but the chin is all your hubby’s. Any way you slice it, she’s freaking adorable and I’m glad y’all kicked the flu’s butt!

  • 28. lawr  |  December 5th, 2009 at 10:45 pm

aww, i hate when lil kids are sick! i work with 2-3yr olds and it kills me when they get sick, they’re so helpless and sad that it makes me sad! poor babies. im glad she’s feeling better :)
