It’s Huggies Time Again, but this time, there’s a win/win. Or a win. One win, to be specific, really. For suffering through my drivel, you can enter a contest to win diapers below. Assuming, that is, you have a person in your house who needs to be diapered. If you don’t, you can still win the diapers, just, ah, don’t tell us what you’re doing with them. We probably don’t want to know.
I’ll have you know that since we talked last, I’ve learned exactly nothing. I fish approximately eleven million diapers out of my dog’s mouth on a daily basis, I still have no idea what size diaper my kid wears, and I … well, I don’t think I’ve told you this before, but you know what I do ALL THE TIME? I forget to put a diaper on my kid post-bath. I know, I know I KNOW. It’s SO HARD, because she loves, and I mean LOVES, diaper-free time. It’s like a GIFT, that diaper-free time, where her little special girly area gets fresh air, and suddenly everything is more interesting, including running at top speed around the living room.
Have I ever told you that we have ceramic floors in our house? Well. We do. Everywhere except the bedrooms. And while this is awesome, in terms of clean up (SWIFFER WET JET YOU ARE MY LOVAH), it’s a little harrowing when it comes to a drunken toddler waddling around the house. This is especially true when I give my kid a little diaper-free time and she, uhh, pees on the floor and then, oh then? SLIPS IN HER OWN PEE and winds up screaming in a puddle on the floor. This is awesome. I feel like a total WINNAH when this happens. I let my kid slip and fall in a puddle of her own urine! Give me a medal!
You can see I take this parenting thing very seriously. I let my dog eat diapers, and my kid falls in her own pee. These are the things I honestly didn’t see coming.

Hell yes I want free diapers. Because I have all these fruit cups I bought at Costco in a weird fruit-cup-buying binge last fall, and now they’re about to expire, so I’ve been feeding the kids a lot of fruit cups lately. So the boy is pooping, like, four times a day. So I need diapers. Lots of ‘em.

Sure, free diapers are always a plus. We have hardwood floors and the exact same problem. My daughter LOVES naked time. I don’t know what it is about being nude that inspires the crazed laps around the living room. I’ve had to switch it to before her bath so as to avoid having to rewash a pee soaked toddler. Whenever she pees on the floor I’m always sprinting across the room saying “hold still”..never works. Then there’s slipping and tears and a drippy kid.

Free diapers would be wonderful! I wish I could empathize with your pee-puddle/slippery toddler issue, but we live in wall-to-wall carpeting land. Diaper-free time is pretty much a no-no, especially since said carpet is cream colored. Good for the drunken toddler thing, bad for peeing on the floor

I was an early potty trainer with both my kids (cause I hate buying diapers) but huggies were my favorites and I have a cousin who could certainly use them for her baby!

I have no kiddies, but a good friend just adopted baby, all by herself, so I figured I’d try for her sake. Also, I probably would have commented anyway, because I have babysat before and my dog will ALWAYS get in the diapers. New, used, he doesn’t care. WHY? What is so damned interesting about diapers?
Maybe I’m reading to much into this (see above: no kids) but perhaps the fact that Sam enjoys peeing sans diaper would indicate she’ll potty train early and easy? Maybe?

Your post is making me kind of proud that my kid has never slipped in his own pee. This is mostly because he tends to run naked in carpeted areas, but let’s pretend it’s a parenting win anyway.

I’m still test driving every brand I possibly can since boycotting Pampers with Dry Max. This week we tried Target brand and so far I have no complaints, but my loyalty needs a place to live. I haven’t tried the Little Movers yet!
And we’ve started potty training. It’s early, but she’s showing interest so we go with it. She tells us she has to go, but gets up there and gets distracted with the flush handle or toilet paper or tissue box and then when we get her down. She pees on the floor. And 9 times out of 10 slips and falls in it. You’re not alone.

Pee on the carpet leads to SURPRISES, because you can’t always see it. And you might not even know it happened. Until your sock foot is soaking up something. And you cautiously look at the bottom of said sock, hoping there will be no yellowish hue.

The pee on the floor and slip in one’s own pee and lying in a the puddle screaming happens to us ALLS THE TIME. Why I don’t learn I’ll NEVER EVER KNOW. So yes, diapers please.
